Make friends with a bear: ETFs for down markets

This is an summary article on Horizon Beta Pro Inverse ETFs.

The article raises the question of why the ETFs don't move as one would expect in the short and long term. Unfortunately, it only provides a partial answer though.

I called the HBP office on Friday and confronted them about the huge discrepency in performance of the ETFs and the underlying item on a long term basis. I was told the ETF opens the next day closer to the NAV of the unerlying asset. But didn't provide an answer on a long term basis.
